@RUMBLEINN Thanks for the kind words. I guess that the important thing is that we are both happy with our cars. I didn’t want, nor could I afford a BIG DOLLAR restoration because we drive the heck out of the car. When the weather is nice. Would you believe that my entire project, including all of the tools (NEW) cost me right around $2000.00? I even accomplished the welding with a Flux Core Arc Welder, versus a more expensive GMAW unit. I will review your vids again before any other projects.
@RUMBLEINN It’s funny cause I clearly remember watching your vids close to a year ago I think when I was checking out other 70 charger resto’s and I was jealous that you were done with yours and mine was torn apart…Funny the way things go. This is what I do for a living so dont feel too bad if you see some mistakes or other ways you could or should have done things.. I think you did a great job for being a novice in the autobody field. Your car looks great…thanks for your comments…Tim Z
Man, I shoulda watched all of your videos before I started my project. I did it the hard way in order to save a couple of bucks. Next time, I will do it much differently. Nice job, that is alot of work.
Nice work, Car is a beauty…but the “What’s going on” version of Led Zepplin is really bad.
The car is awsome LOL
man, is this going along fast! i love these old chargers i bought a project ’68 pontiac catalina 2+2 last month from work its been sitting for 5-7 years and no one at my shop has ever heard it run. i put in a new battery and some new gas, and could you believe it started on the first try? the owner used to race it (they say) and it has a muffler and it still wakes up the neighbors even while its idling. they call it “the purple people eater” you can figure out why easily. love thatt 70 dodge!!!
i bet during chemical washing he lost a few million brain cells lol
@bobwoburn Yeah Bob, I am over in Belchertown…just got rid of my 55 project a year ago…
nice work man clean looking car …if only we had more mopar’s in england
@666gunna Oh yeah…Going green all the way…Good luck with your falcon!!!!!
@SmashtheNWO Yeah, going all original with this one….Except for the 600 hp upgrade of course!!!
Nice Project I have a 55 Chevy that I have to do someday. Do You live in Massachusetts ? I am from Woburn Good Luck, Bob
G’day mate, just thought I’d say top job your doing. I restore my own cars too. Just wish I had the room you have to work in. I’m currently doing a 72 XA Falcon (aussie). I’ll post some vids one day. I hope you do your beast green, remember “green is nice”. Cheers from a fellow car guy from down under.
Awesome work, truly a labour of love !
Look forward to part 5, is she staying the same colour ?
Beautiful work, gotta love old mopars, cant wait to see the car complete!!! If you have any friends with front and rear window chrome for a 66 cuda notchback my buddy Doug is looking!! His car is beautiful with 499 cu in big block, and you name it but went thru a nasty divorce and his ex thru all the chrome out, nasty nasty lady!! Any ideas, let me know, southsumasfaren
Yeah, how do you think I feel…The anxiety is killing me..especially since my good friend is presently building my original 440 to the tune of about 550 horses…I can’t get this baby done quick enough!!!! Gonna need an extra set of skins for the back, they’ll be toast the first week….LOL
cant wait to see this thing burn the hell out of those tires. keep up the good work.

Thank you very much for the kind words….I am a seasoned auto body tech with quite a few restos under my belt….I am co owner of DREAMCAR INC…I have always taken this trade serious from an early age and tried to excell in it….This car is my own… being done at my house shop…. Thanks again and stop back soon for the rottisserie video coming soon, I put her up on it today and flipped it on her side..!!!!!!! Remember, there is only one right way to do things……. Thank’s again…..Tim
Very Very awesome restoration.
Keep it up.
Just wondering, how do you know all of this?
Your doing it on your own and you know everything to know on the the things to be done on the restoration.
Your awesome.
It was a zeppliin tribute compilation cd…I think this song was done by 4 non blonds…
Thanks, I pulled the rear out tonight and it is now ready for the rottisserie..
Is this a Heart soundtrack? sound like Nancy
I love 69 and 70 charges, cant wate to see it when its done.
@brucekirk89 check out the next video and you will see what i did…All metal was used to fill the seam.
what u gunna do about that big weld line down the quarters???
@hotbeamer Hell yeah…That car with those combos restored is easily a $30,000 plus car..when the market comes back around in a few years it will be 50 +..That is a very desirable car being an R/T and plum crazy
@RTCHARGER1970 – thanks for the reply. I found it here in australia, still LHD. The paint and trim combo sounds nice. Not sure what there worth here or where you live but it maybe worth getting her back on the road. Kev
@hotbeamer if it has the XS29 in the vin number like on the tag then it is an R/T..plum crazy paint(nice)..440..727 auto…pwr brakes…console..white & blk buckets…white upper door frames..3 spd wipers…hood pins…drip rail mldgs…belt mldgs…am 2 watt radio….longitudinal tape stripe delete….26″ radiator

Yeah, you can’t buy moments like that, and the memories will last forever..Thanks for your kind words…
Bet thats a great feeling you got when your dad and your son was helping. Thank god that charger went to a good owner.
I’ll be into it for around 20K including drive train..Thats doing it all myself..If it were done in a shop it would be around 50k with drivetrain…
This might be a private question, but how much money did you spend on this car? Restoration+The car when first bought?
Wow, what a graduation present that would be…He wants a 1965 mustang though…thank God!!! I can keep her…………..
“My DAD and my son lending a helping hand..do I have to pay them?” No, but you have to present this ride to your son at his 18 B-day :)
Thanks!!!…I just re-epoxied the car and applied spray polyester this weekend..now its going on the rotisserie..I’ve got another video coming in a few days…hows your 500 coming?..thats a nice ride..
That’s looking good so far! I have a rough as hell ’70 500SE. But it was $600 in ’07; so it was the most affordable charger I could find. Still in the works at the moment.
Thanks….Yeah these are bad ass muscle cars…I like 68′s too but I’m a sucker for the tail pan on the 69 & 70 though…think it looks meaner..but love all three!!!!!!!!
good job man i’ve always wanted a 1968 charger
