Glad you asked! I have been a body tech since ’72 and I would not even consider this as a profession. When I started, it was a decent trade but now it’s controlled by insurance companies. Besides, you would need to spend $20k or so on tools and get some kind of training. Wyotech and others charge $ 30k or so for a course but you could go to a community college and learn. Nobody will pay you for your knowledge and skills. The only way to make money in this biz is to own your own shop. Go to http://www.autobodyonline.com and go to the forums and see what techs around the country are saying and then make up your mind. I wish I had gone into something else. HTH
