I’m new to lift kits and would like to learn more anyone know a site or something i could check out? i have a 1997 Ford Explorer and wanna get it lifted a few inches
for people interested in new keys or lift.
the key is not a spring the torsion bar is a spring and the only spring. adding the same preload (or lift) with the stock key as a new key (say 1.5 inches) will result in the same ride both ways. the more you crank the torsion bar the harder the ride will be. think about this before buying.
Proryde Products is a Rolex to a suspension maxx being a Timex in overall quality & adjustabilty to adjust height when installed !
SMX JUNK you have to remove whole key on both sides to change height & with proryde you can adjust after install with a simple turn of a nut to change heights !
Proryde is the best & i piss on all Suspension Maxx products !
Dollar for dollar proryde is the best 3″ lift kit on the market today !
Sorry to piss anybody off BUT truth hurts sometimes !
BUY PRORYDE !
if i got one for 3 inch could i use it to drop my truck 3 inchs? i want to drop my ford ranger and i just found out i need this kind of product . i have Torsion Bar’s
For those of you saying your ball joints will wear faster… Torsion keys are for leveling not lifting, and should only be used to gain 1.5 – 2” MAX. Raising you’re truck that little will not wear out your ball joints any faster than normal. If you’re cheap and use these to do a 4” lift and just put blocks in the rear yes ball joints and a lot of other parts will start breaking or wearing out. I’ve had my truck leveled for 2 years now with NO problems.
torsion bar keys are bad…I just pulled them out of my truck. Super STIFF ride and that cannot be good for your truck. Ride quality was terrible. Don’t put them in.
yes, once you level the front of any vehicle, you pull all of the suspension geometry out of their intended angles of use and ANY part will wear faster. Leveling kits will eat through most ball joints.
i just got the fx cam put on my 02 f150 4×4. it has 7 levels of lift and i put mine on the 5th one for right now and its not even cranked hallf way and i got 1 1/2 inches. on the 7th level you could get up to 4 inches fully cranked. i dont recomend this tho, it will ride extremely rough and wear out alot of the parts on yur truck. its good for about 2.5 -3 inches
For those of us who have never installed a lift kit, the video is still not specific enough. How about a close up of exactly where the device fits, in place and what it looks like after installation?

@cpinkerman not only that but it brings the front tires closer to each other and it will look like an ugly dually
@guyanimal if you don’t know where it goes you shouldn’t be lifting your truck
i got an 02 f150 wanting to lower two in. in front got anything

This doesn’t look any different than swapping the chevy torsion keys for ford keys.
ROUGH ride.
@8320884 yea you can put it on the lowest setting
@ytown3 can u lower it even more then the stock keys i have an 02 t0 expedition 4×4 same shit. lookin to lower it any advice i appreciate it.
Nice but if you just want to level out the truck with minimum hassle and expense you might be better off with the fordlevelingkit . net
not bad. the cam design looks cool enough. But how is this better than a readylift design?
